www.Plastopedia.in is the world's plastic portal. Its motto of Plasics. Business. You. highlights that its platform is used by businesses, professionals, researchers, and students related to the plastic industry. This blog gives a peep into life at plastopedia.in
We are debating internally the layout of the home page of www.plastopedia.com .
One idea is to use the Google.com type of clutter free, clean, neat layout to present the four (at this moment) sections of plastopedia.com
That is how our current homepage is like.
However there are other proponents who feel it is too "plain" and there should be some "colour".
But why ? I ask.
I think the object of GUI (Graphic User Interface) is to make the visitor's life simple. Why add clutter ?

We shall be posting the trials and tribulations of a net based startup in a slowing economy ......
Contrary to general pessimism, we believe it is in slowing economy that the value of "business accelarators" like plastopedia.com is highlighted.
We believe that the Indian plastic industry is not being adequately served by the current options in the market. Either they belong to large be all like Indiamart.com or alibaba.com where in the categories simply get lost in the maze of products from Agricultural produce (A) to Transportation (T). A few India focussed plastic portals do not have enough depth to be of ample service.
Hence our endeavour to serve the Indian plastic industry.
